Mercedes brings nine years of healthcare experience. Along with a Bachelor of Health Science degree, from the University of South Florida, Mercedes has strong leadership experience in healthcare management, direct patient care as a Medical Assistant and Patient Care Tech working closely with patients who have chronic diseases. In addition to Mercedes' clinical background, she has also worked with closely with providers at The Department of Veterans Affairs as a senior medical records technician. Mercedes career path has been focused on patient centered care and continuing her education by attending medical school.
Since 2019, Mercedes serves on Future Leaders of America, LLC board as the Vice President. This nonprofit was started by her youngest brother to support their home community of Sarasota, Florida. During the COVID-19 pandemic Mercedes provided food donations, leadership and financial seminars to the Boys and Girls Club. Mercedes is also an active member of the Physician Assistant's Association.
In Mercedes free time, she assist friends and clients with nutritional guidance, she enjoys working out and traveling the world.
