The SmartTouch program provides a valuable service supporting care management by delivering consistent reliable testing data to providers. For example, most people with Type 2 diabetes are required to test their blood glucose levels on a regular basis but many don’t follow the direction of their provider, even when enrolled in an RPM program. For patients with other chronic conditions, up to 60 percent are not adherent to their care plan. 1 The SmartTouch program bridges this gap for RPM programs improving the connection between patient and provider.
