Casey is a recognized value creator in connected healthcare. He most recently served as CEO of Udex Software, a cloud platform for the home health industry. Previously, he was President and CEO of Tunstall Americas, the US division of Tunstall Healthcare Group, the world’s largest medical alarm provider. He served as CEO at two healthtech start-ups and led sales at BAM Labs, the technology powering smart beds. Casey was the founder and CEO of TelCARE Systems which was acquired by Lifeline, and subsequently by Philips.
Local to Silicon Valley, he has held multiple board seats and advised numerous connected health companies and is a member of the AT&T Healthcare Executive Advisory Council. Casey has been a frequent speaker at connected healthcare conferences, including Partners Healthcare Center for Connected Health, Parks Associates Connected Health, American Society on Aging, Silicon Valley Boomer Summits, and AgeTech West. Casey holds a B.A. degree in Organizational Behavior from Stanford University where he was a member of the Men’s Varsity Golf Team.
Ben Atkin is a serial entrepreneur, innovator and investor. He has spent over 25 years in product development, with a focus on medical, dental and veterinary devices. As the Vice President of Sales at Engler Engineering he helped increase a $400,000 company to over $1,000,000 in just 2 years. Other successes of Ben’s include holding 5+ patents, as well as funding, growing and selling several medical and veterinary device companies.
Since the time of his diagnoses as a type 2 diabetic, Ben has spent most of his time researching new solutions for situations he and others with diabetes face daily. He is determined to create a more modern and convenient way to record glucose data and related information while engaging others in helping him master the disease.
Nikhil brings more than 20 years of experience in leadership and finance from a variety of industries. With over 15 years of international experience, he has helped companies grow strategically by providing a strong partnership to the senior leadership team.
Prior to joining Smart Meter, Nikhil's experiences include working for Fortune 500 companies and PE-backed companies, including successful sales transactions for two PE-backed companies.
Nikhil earned his MBA from the State University of New York at Buffalo - School of Management. He is also a Chartered Accountant from India, with a BA in Accounting from the University of Mumbai, India.
Derek brings more than 20 years of experience in information technology and software development, leading the architecture, design, and development of enterprise solutions. He has held various leadership positions with focus and responsibility for the systems architecture and technology strategy. Throughout his career he has helped both large and small businesses reach their full potential in technology.
Prior to joining Smart Meter, Derek's experiences included working for Fortune 500 companies, start-ups and small businesses in various capacities and overseeing the development of more than 100 commercially successful software products.
Derek earned his Master of Science in computer science from Boston University, a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from the University of Central Florida and holds a several patents related to system and data processing.
Erez brings with him over 30 years of leadership, management and operational experience in the medical devices and healthcare industries. He has extensive experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, product development and global manufacturing operations and also holds several patents on orthopedic devices.
Prior to joining Smart Meter, Erez served in senior leadership positions in various medical device companies.
Erez holds a Master of Business Administration from Baruch College, City University of New York and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology.
Davin brings 20 years of experience as a senior leader within the medical device and healthcare technology industry. His focus has been on market expansion, revenue growth, and sales operations. He has worked at both large corporate organizations, such as Philips Healthcare, and start-up organizations. Davin is known for building strong national / international relationships and mutually beneficial partnerships.
Davin earned his BS in Secondary Education from Ball State University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame.
